It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that our attitude impacts everything in our life! If we live by our feelings, our feelings lead us. If we live by intellect and reason, we may be perhaps too objective about everything. Then there is that well-balanced place in our life where, if we are living by a well-defined purpose and seeking the balance between reason, objectivity and positive emotions, life is a reasonable window where we are making good choices and find that we endure even the uncertainties of terrible events!
Well-balanced...
It's that laboratory where we have been experimenting upon our own psyche since childhood.
Productive living, focused living, intentional living- positive thinking, positive choices, positive attitudes... as opposed to?
Living in the here and now means making choices again, right now and each moment and tomorrow! To be or not to be... why would there be any question??
Yes, we are living in a strange world of danger, challenges, anxieties, quiet desperation... as well as the positive. We are also living in a world with all these negative challenges to our lives and mind but have the choice to live productively, spiritually, positively... we may be seeing bible prophecies happening in the world today- but we must also realize that at the same time, we have to continue to work, take care of our bills and live the daily routines, with as positive a frame of mind that we can.
We must choose to intentionally walk a pathway of determination and focus, optimism and cheerful, hopeful Christianity.
And when you feel like that old devil comes bothering you with his temptations to anxiety or whatever else he wants to throw in your path, you have a choice.
No, even I am not perfectly positive-minded one-hundred percent of the time.
But I know what my Father in Heaven desires that I put my mind on. And it sure ain't the negative!
